Fulham secured a 1-0 away win against West Ham in the 18th round of the 2025/26 Premier League season, thanks to a goal from Raul Jimenez. Marco Silva described it as a tight match, but noted that his team displayed their ambition.

The score didn't change until the 85th minute of the second half when Harry Wilson passed the ball into the box, and Raul Jimenez headed it in to give Fulham a 1-0 lead.

Fulham ultimately defeated West Ham 1-0 at the London Stadium. With their third consecutive win, Fulham currently sits in 10th place in the league table with 26 points.

Marco Silva said, "As we expected, it was a very close game. These kinds of games aren't decisive, but it was very important for West Ham to win at home, and we showed our ambition. Both sides had chances, but what really made me happy was that in the last 20 to 25 minutes, our team started to press forward more."

“When playing away, we see the team’s possession and efforts to create chances through possession, which means we expose more space. We are aware of this, and we expect them to look for opportunities on the counter-attack, especially with Bowen, Paqueta and Somerville in their squad, which was the case before Callum Wilson came on.”

Marco Silva pointed out, "We have to be vigilant about this situation. If you look at the whole game, almost all the chances they created, or the really dangerous moments, came from counter-attacks. At certain stages, we could have put more pressure on their forwards and not given them space, but I'm really happy with the way the team kept pushing forward. Before the goal, Josh King had a very good chance, as did Raul Jimenez."

“That was a brilliant assist, and Raul Jimenez scored a fantastic goal. Overall, the game looked like it was going to end in a draw, but I’m pleased that the team maintained a strong desire to win and kept pushing forward to achieve victory, which is very important for us.”

Furthermore, Marco Silva added, "Winning in the Premier League is very difficult, and we are well aware of the individual abilities of our opponents, including players like Bowen, Paqueta, Somerville, or Callum Wilson, all of whom are capable of deciding the course of a game. This is our third consecutive Premier League win, which is hard-won, let alone three consecutive away wins with clean sheets, making it even more ideal for us."
